Flash introductions can be used in a variety of ways to introduce potential clients to your website. Introductions may be used as a sampling overview of your site contents. Intro’s may also be used to present a mini-commercial on the internet. This technology to match a television commercial is alive and well in Adobe Flash. It can provide the means to relay any message you want, afterwards dropping them on your homepage / landing page. You can also give navagitors the option to skip the intro. Unfortunately, television commercials you cannot skip.

A complimentary variety of mediums can be used in your intro including photos, videos, fades, transitions, filters, music, audio mixes, etc. This is your opportunity to show off your products/services. You know the benefits of your business and this is a showcase opportunity to make a first impression. The speed of CPU’s, new flv files, and bandwidth on the internet have greatly increased over the years. Waiting for a preload has all but been eliminated for your intro, allowing you to capture your viewers attention and make a lasting first impression.

Many clients that have used PowerPoint in the past but have made the switch to Flash. It will allow you to use any browser to view your content, therefore, allowing you to use a self starting DVD/CD to take your client to your website or presentation. Flash comes installed on all new computers and has for the past 5 years, therefore no plug-in download is needed. This is probably the most widely used platform on the web. Adobe will make it possible to create applications for the Apple iPhone using the Adobe Flash Platform. This capability is still under development but it will be included with Adobe Flash Professional CS5.
