Panoramic images allow us to view 360 degrees and make us feel as if we are really there.  A slide show allows us to see or view a series of chosen images, usually giving no relationship between views. When making a panoramic, you should consider what platform you want your viewer to use. I would look at the statistics for software platforms for this consideration.
